That long-lost video of the cast with a black-haired and beardless Miyazaki has been Nico'ed8) And apparently, I missed this SMAP riff on Lupin.

Love the Lupin the 3rd SNL-isque parody. I never knew they did such a thing. But knowing Japan, Lupin was just popular enough to do it. I think the performance on Lupin could have been more exaggerated though, considering this is a parody and Lupin is much crazier than that when he's normal.

Otaku U.S.A revisited Cagliostro and will be covering the original Lupin series in a future column. Thanks to @aicnanime and @darylsurat for the link.

Edit: Cowboy Musashi.

Edit 2: Via @aicnanime, Anipages looks at Mankatsu.

Courtest of @aicnanime, more MP event pics. And apparently, Cagliostro counts as a Ghibli film:P Oh, and TAF promotional pic.

Lupin the 3rd Press

This is my new Lupin website. Rather than the run of the mill fansite, I decided to gear mine towards being a news & media blog for Lupin fans. Sort of an information hob for Lupin fans, including links other Lupin sites and podcasts (linking & crediting to the original source).

Hey, you're welcome. I'm going to do a full review of the Master File when I get my copy. I'm going to try to keep up with the latest Lupin news & media.

I found this on Youtube. It's a fanmade Lupin rendition of the Evangelion intro.  The animation isn't the best, but it's not bad neither.

I thought the animation was fairly good, the single middle second shots, that's a lot of pictures to draw, I gotta give the person credit for that.

Found this video of the Lupin III 2nd T.V. Series 1980 opening,
one box showing the original opening and another box showing it all with Vocaloids (hatsune miku)

Ryan scored an interview with former Streamline employee, Fred Patten. Some Lupin discussion ensues.

Great interview. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Fred really is a wealth of information from that era. I had an informal interview with him back in 2007 by email and he gave me a lot of insight into the history behind "Mystery of Mamo" or "Mamoux" or "Mamaux" or whatever. Maybe one of these days I'll edit it together and post it all for proper viewing.
