While that may be true, it's not the one I'm quite looking for. They've had a full ashtray a lot of times, not just during that chase. This is something that just took about a second to happen, but was so obviously a callback to the old chase (as it happened there too) that I just burst right out laughing.

Is it Lupin's Fiat getting pushed against the guard rail and having the head light smashed as a result the same way Clarisse's Citroen had the same thing happen.

I should add that after the opening chase, when discussing the treasure, they have a very similar view out their windshield of a truck and a car, if i'm remembering the opening of cagliostro correctly. That's probably so insignificant you weren't looking for it though.

Palehorse — While that's not the one I was looking for, that's undeniably another one, so the point is yours.

(The one I was thinking of was the bird flying through the car's cabin when they went through the woods of Central Park.)

In the original manga and Green Jacket TV series, a time-traveller named Mamou Kyoskue was introduced.  He claimed that, in the future, a decendant of Lupin's killed his father.

Question: what was the decendant's name?
Ceci n'est pas une signature.

Okay, how about this:

Lupin's signature weapon, the Walther P-38, was also a fixture of an American cartoon and toy line in the 80s... What show/line was it?

(this question is technically Lupin-related, but since it also relies on outside knowledge, please let me know and I'll try something else instead)

Transformers. Love that show (old one that is, the new ones suck).

Wow, that was fast!  Yes, it was indeed the Transformers, where Decepticon leader Megatron turned into a Walther P-38.

Your turn again, thnikkaman.

All right, that's it for this month.  Results will be tallied Thursday or Friday (I'm busy 'till then and tired right now.)  I think we got our 10 new players, but even if we didn't, I'm still going to give out the prize.
