Ah that was entertaining. I no longer own a DS though, so I probably wont be playing this anytime soon haha. Anyways, for those of you who wanted to play the demo but were totally lost once all that mythical scripture started appearing:

The game is called Laser Sensor Connect, and the four numbers at the top correspond with one of the four words below (From L to R: ban - number [of], sei - the ___, koukei - calibre, buri - method or style).

Basically drag and connect.

Looks neat. If I can get my hands on a copy I'll definitely look into it, especially since I love puzzles and Lupin. ;D

Well, all I can say is that I've worked on some game translations (namely for Conan vs. Kindaichi & one of the Death Note games) as an editor/supervisor and it really wasn't that hard for us. I'm not a gaming guy myself, but the guy who was hacking it is brilliant, so... If someone can find a dedicated translator, feel free to send them my way/post here/whatevs and I can maybe see if something could be worked out. (Are we even allowed to talk about this here?)

We had working versions of both of those games in no time thanks to the guy being able to inject the translated scripts with ease, so hey, who knows. I'd love to see another Lupin game in English and I guess we all know that's just not going to happen through official means.

JD: Well, the DS is a more popular system for this kind of thing, because you can sell these things to a specific audience without worrying about as much competition, as a tv console. But, at best, we'll just get an American remake like they did w/ Ouendan.  :'(

I also did the menus and such in PS; may post some screenshot comparisons once I get back on my old comp. It was interesting to work on, wouldn't mind doing it again for Lupin.

Click on "system", and you get flash-based clips of the game in action.

I only played the demo once and failed miserably. Yet at the same time it was so much fun to play.

This game automatically wins for gratuitous Fujiko rubbing:

Wow! At first (when i read the title) i thought it would be some sort of Professor Layton clone but, after seeing the trailer, it turns out to be much more. Combining a platform game with the usual puzzles and riddles might bring a breath of fresh air to both the franchise and the brain-tantalizing genre in general.

By the way, when was the last time a 2D-platform Lupin game was released? On the Super Famicom? About 15 years ago, give or take?

Often caught but never held for long, Lupin III brought the gentleman-thief into this century with his hi-tech antics and old-world charm.

ANN's X Button covered the game, and apparently, there's a mini-game where you get to rub sunscreen on Fujiko-chan. :'( [NSFW pic at the link btw.]  In spite of the guy's negativity I'm still hoping that it'll get a U.S. release because of the bonus feature.  ;D Oh, and a Japanese ad and a promo here. A Steal Japan event tie-in. BTW, Namdai has their own Twitter feed if you want to request they put out the game here.
