Title: Monkey Punch’s design for Fujiko Mine

Fujiko has had a lot of looks over the years, as this link shows:

What is curious to me is that only the 1969 pilot film actually showed her appearance faithfully to how Monkey Punch drew her:

Her eyes are almond-shaped and slanted, like a Japanese lady and also like a vixen (which she is). Do you think animators should try to follow this design more often, or would you rather they make their own design of Fujiko?

I quite like the varying designs for her. Although my favorite ones are how she looks at the beginning of the digital era (Alcatraz Connection) as well as her design in Mystery of Mamo.

I also think her reserved style in Woman Called Fujiko Mine and Part IV are quite good as well.
