It's a very Cagliostro news day; Anime Boston announced today that Sumi Shimamoto will be a guest of honor at this year's festivities. She voiced Clarisse in Cagliostro as well as the heroine Oyamada Maki in the Miyazaki directed last episode for the second TV series. I'm looking forward to getting her autograph on my R2 DVD!

Have not seen anyone else posting screen captures for Monkey Punch's latest anime Gun Musashi; so, I am declaring this an official scoop. Check them out and check back every week for more.

From the Japanese fan site MoonPhase and translated by a variety of sources like Anime Nation, a new Monkey Punch anime called Musashi will be airing on the BS-i satellite TV network starting 2006 April 9. Digging a bit more has not revealed an official site for the series yet.

Spotted this today on lupin-3rd.net. It appears that two specials screenings of Lupin will be taking place in Japan. On 13 May, you can watch "Mamo", "Napoleon's Dictionary", and five TV episodes. Special guests include Monkey Punch.

Spotted on Anime News Service, TMS has announced plans to open up a service called "Lupin III Theater" on 2005 October 31 that will allow one to stream Lupin videos to their computer. According to the news post, movies from the original 1973 ([ed] Shouldn't that be 1971?) work to the present will be available. A monthly fee of 525¥ will be charged, and movies can be viewed for up to seven days via Windows Media Player. TMS expects 10,000 subscribers initially.

Not much content is posted on it at the moment. But keep checking the official site (Japanese) for more information as the special draws near.

While the official Japanese Lupin site and Monkey Punch's own site have not updated in ages, at least the official site for Mankatsu is still updating. A third wallpaper has been posted; go download it now.
