Gun-do Musashi DVDs already?!

Via Akiba Blog (Japanese), there is a DVD box set of Gun-do Musashi being released this month. According to the CD Japan listing, it is a five disc set titled MUSASHI Original Version (on-aired) DVD-BOX [Limited Release]; it contains the first eight episodes, additional footage for the first three episodes, bonus footage, and more.

This has to be a record; the series is still airing on Japanese TV and is only at episode thirteen. This must be a planned experiment in the market; you just normally don't crank out DVDs for an on-air series, especially that fast.
